Passengers are in for discounted fares, more choice of products, and quality in-flight service as competition heats up on the Nigeria – Europe route. First rate airlines like British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, KLM-AirFrance, Lufthansa, Qatar, Emirates, among others, are offering mouth-watering promotional fares this Yuletide on the route with a promise of value added services. Meanwhile, two mega-carriers from the United States are joining Delta Airlines, also a US operator, on the Nigeria – US route. While United Airlines will resume flight on December 13, 2010, Continental flights are scheduled to begin in November 2011 and will be the first daily scheduled service between Texas and Africa. Continental also plans to fly to Lagos from Washington.
